The one lane running through St. Martins is lush with semi-tropical vegetation and mossy dry stone walls on which are perched small boxes selling freshly cut vegetables and free range eggs from the cottages. Fresh fish crabs and lobster are available straight from the sea. Delicious bread warm from the oven, home baked pasties cakes and so much more from the bakery. The Post Office is extremely well stocked. Then there’s the beautifully renovated Seven Stars pub, the re-opened Karma St. Martins Hotel, vineyard, tea rooms, fish and chips, galleries, the flower farm, boat trips, tennis court…
Dive or snorkel with the seals. Wander the island’s paths through the bracken and find your own quiet cove to picnic or swim.
And of course the beaches – some of the best in Britain. The island is fringed with gorgeous white sand beaches where you can always be alone, and all our beaches are dog friendly.
You won’t ever get tired of all that St. Martins has to offer, but if you want to explore the other islands there are plenty of ferries and tripper boats available for an excursion.
